Vanguard Vizslas is proud to announce the breeding between Reco & River.

River – Crimson's Without Remorse, JH, CGC - has a wonderful temperament and disposition. Her whole body wags as she greats you smiling! She's probably one of the smartest dogs we've ever had. Around the house River will happily curl up on the couch and watch TV or self-entertain, she's independent but easily one of the sweetest dogs you'll meet. River had a number of field trial placements as a puppy/derby, including several wins and 2 points towards her Field Championship. She is actively being campaigned in agility and has been owner handled to a majority of the 8 show points & one major she's earned. While she is pretty and sweet she's also a bird freak!! Her groundspeed, bird drive and style on point make her exciting to watch. River is probably my favorite dog to go to when you just can't seem to find birds. Her tenacity, endurance, and intelligence form a package that's just beautiful to watch work a field. She currently has her Junior Hunter title & Canine Good Citizen title. River is OFA Excellent. We continue to progress towards River's Championship and look forward to some late spring fun in the field working towards her Senior Hunter title.



Reco – Vanguard's Quantum Matrix, JH, CGC –already has an incredible following in the field trial world. Reco was special from the start, and has continued to impress us more and more each day. As a puppy/derby field trial dog he was ranked #11 in the country and his full littermate sisters(Rei & Josie) were ranked #8 & #3. The litter was a standout with Rei being named 2010 & 2011 Ohio Derby dog of the year & sister Josie winning the 2010 Midwest Vizsla Futurity. Known for his high head and tail on point he defines "style on point". Bidable, eager to please, front running & he love to find birds. Reco will make his gundog debute as a broke dog this spring and continue on to finish his Field Championship & Amateur Field Championship titles. Reco is OFA Excellent on his hips and normal on his Elbows. He currently has his Junior Hunter title & Canine Good Citizen title.



Some of Reco’s puppies are already making their mark in field around the country. Vincent’s girl Lexus is the spitting image of her father Reco and love’s to compete. At the East Tennessee Pointing Dog Club Field trial in October 2011, Lexus won both the Open Puppy & Amateur Puppy Stake!! Not bad for her first time at a trial competing.  Lexus went on to enjoy more success at the Kentuctiana Pointing Breed club trial earning a 2nd place in Open Puppy.  Both Vincent and Lexus make a fantastic team and we look forward to seeing great things from both of them.

This will be a Dual Potential litter with a focus on line breeding Ruger - NFC 2xNAFC 3xNGDC DC AFC Crimson's Twenty Gauge Ruger, SH who is Reco's grandsire and full litermate to River's mother Ariel. Reco and River bring together a fantastic combination in temperament, personality, bidability, talent and pedigree. We feel that Reco and River's pups will be successful in any venue, field and/or home. Reco's hips OFA certified EXCELLENT and River's hips OFA certified as EXCELLENT; both dogs have been DNA'd. This litter will be dual registered with both AKC and American Field and nominated for the Midwest Vizsla Futurity.
