About Us

Welcome to Vanguard Vizslas! Ruth and I have been involved with Vizslas since 1999 when we received our first vizsla from Margaret and Ed Schaefer of Mar-Ed Vizslas. We are a small kennel located about 20 min south of Columbus, Ohio. Our primary interests revolve around field trials, hunt tests, and hunting with our dogs, but we also compete and participate in confirmation, agility and obedience.

We are currently members of the Vizsla Club of America, National Vizsla Association, Vizsla Club of Greater Cleveland, Vizsla Club of Illinois and Conestoga Vizsla Club.
