Josie is owned by Paul Primeaux from Livonia, NY and is out of our female Roxie. Roxie exhibited the style, groundspeed, bird ability, brains, needed to play on the level with the big boys at any all breed trial. Josie is a perfect combination of all the above and pure natural ability!
Vizsla Club of Greater Cleveland held their annual spring horseback field trial April 11-12, 2009 and Josie made her field trial debut handled by Matt Rogers. With strong naturally forward races along with several stylish finds, Josie scored with two 1st places in Open Puppy & Am. Puppy, a 2nd place in Open Derby & a 4th in Am. Derby. Josie’s second trial proved to be just as successful as the first. On April 25-26 Vizsla Club of Michigan hosted their spring horseback trial on the grounds at Ionia, MI. Weather was a huge factor that weekend varying from 85 degrees and sunny to 60’s and driving rain. Josie was handled again by Matt Rogers and showed a ton of heart having to run back to back with almost no time between braces. Josie’s reward being two 1st places in Am. Puppy & Am. Derby along with a 2nd place in Open Puppy.
Josie continued her winning over 5 total weekends of trials during the spring 2009 season handled by Matt Rogers. During her spring campaign she racked up a total of 10 first places, 4 seconds and 1 fourth place…catapulting her to #4 on the Top Ten Puppy/Derby points list where she’s remained despite our decision to retire her from derby stakes at the conclusion of the spring 2009 trial season in order to focus on her future.
Josie is the perfect example of what great breeding will produce. Look to see Josie start competing in gundog & shooting dog stakes Fall 2010.
