From 10 minutes old Reco caught our eye as a real stand out in the litter. He was always the first one to eat, first one up and last one asleep, first one out of the whelping pen, and seemed to be a natural line runner as he would constantly circle the whelping pen edges. Like his mother Roxie he just stood out as being something special.
Reco along with his sister Rei began their puppy/derby training with pro handler Mike Lundy and then came home to start running derby stakes fall 2009. Reco has shown a strong forward run with a lot of ground speed and a fast snappy gait. On birds he stands with a high tail and head showing the class that we expect of our dogs. But its his sweet personality and eagerness to please that really wins you over.
Reco will continue to field trial through the spring season and then will begin his show career to hopefully complete the first part of his dual championship.
