River came to us from Mark & Pam Spurgeon in Illinois. I had originally contacted Mark about a puppy a while back. At that time Mark had bred his dog Ruger to Zetta and that ultimately lead us to Roxie. We liked Roxie so much we decided to go back to Mark and get a puppy out of Ruger’s sister Ariel (Crimson's Arrietta Double Lady, JH) and Zorro (FC AFC Upwind Shiloh Mark of Zorro).
River was Ruth’s pick and she’s been the cuddler of all of our dogs. She loves to curl up on the sofa with you and is quite content staying there and sleeping….that said look out for when she wakes up! I had to buy a new vacuum for the house because of her racing around.
So far River is showing a lot of promise, she’s got a lot of point in her and independence to spare. River earned her Junior Hunter title at the MVVC and VCGC fall 2008 hunt test in 4 straight passes. We are currently showing River and she has 8 points towards her show championship. Hopefully will have that completed soon and move our focus back to the field where she loves to be.
