Sam came to us from pro bird dog trainer Jamie Fountain of Oconee Kennels in Dublin, GA. Sam was trained and introduced to field trials by Jamie and his cousin. We can't thank Jamie and his wife Tippe enough for recommending Sam to us as he’s fit our needs perfectly.
We got Sam in March of 2008 and spent much of the spring and summer just working on brushing up some of his manors and basically letting him get used to us. Sam comes from classic Tennessee walking horse lines such as Midnight Sun, Pride of Midnight, Pusher, Go Boy. His lineage and size lend to an incredible walk that extends and seems to go forever. Sam has a very natural head set and is quit the looker making him a natural handler’s horse. He enjoys being in front however he’s also comfortable hanging back with the group or off by himself scouting.
